We got played + life lately

This morning Bam woke us up yacking on the rug which was easy to clean, but I just washed it yesterday. Typical. Still half asleep, I scooped him up to go outside then once outside I realized I didn’t have pants on, but thankfully I was wearing an oversized sweatshirt, and thankfully for our neighbors, the truck was blocking their view.🙈 Mike came outside with the rug, so I was trying to help him, then Bam takes off running across the street. I ask Mike to go get him because he is the only one in this house who has pants on, so he walks across the street limping. He has gout, I have a migraine and Bam is happily snoring in bed next to me. I think that little nugget was just trying to get our attention.😵

So there’s that.

We’re still in Florida for at least a few more days. I finally made an appointment with an optometrist to get my vision figured out. My prescription stayed the same, but we *think* the alignment of the prescription on my sunglass lenses was off. Long story short, they sent my Ray Bans off to a 3rd party lab to put in brand new lenses because Ray Ban couldn’t do anything about the alignment. Kinda weird, but I’m really crossing my fingers the new ones work out. If they don’t, then I just give up.

So that’s the main reason we’re still here. It can take up to 3 weeks, so we booked 5 weeks at the most luxurious RV resort we’ve ever stayed at. I’ll have to take some pictures for you guys before we leave because this place is unreal. Like they have a washer & dryer for pet stuff only. What is life!?

We are staying just outside St. Petersburg, Tampa & Sarasota so it’s been a great location with a lot to do. We hit up the coolest beaches – Siesta Key, Lido Key, Sarasota, Anna Maria Island, Fort De Soto Park & a few more that I can’t remember right now.

We upgraded our ebikes to more comfortable ones that fold up. We just got them last weekend, but so far they are nice and much more comfy. Hopefully riding in the different position won’t give me a migraine.

We got the same bike, Mike just added a rack with a bag.

We have found some trouble to get into since we’ve been here. We went to an RV show in Tampa, even looked at upgrading our 5th wheel to one without a toy hauler, checked out the mall on hot afternoons, Bam got a much needed summer furcut, and Mike found a healthy restaurant we both agree on(!), 3 Natives in Lakewood Ranch.

It’s been a mix of having fun, not so fun days and relaxing by the pool. Yesterday we finally got around to some much needed repairs & deep cleaning of the 5th wheel. Some of the trim fell down so Mike picked up a finishing nail gun and put it back up. Also reinforced loose ones while he was at it. I got a chance to dust form the top down, pull out the vacuum attachments and got the corners, etc and just got everything clean and in order. Living tiny has it’s perks. We had this whole place clean and put back together in a few hours.

Here’s to hoping my glasses come in soon. We are loving Florida, but I’m ready to get back on the road. We don’t have a plan, per usual ha, so we’ll have to figure something out.

Do your pets play you?

If you could go anywhere in the US, where would you go?
