My soul needed this day

Ahhhh it feels so good to write again!! I’ve said it before, but writing is my therapy.

I’m working on a life update post, many of you are interested in via Instagram. It should be up in a day or so, but I want to tell you about our trip to Zion National Park.

Do you ever walk into a room or place and immediately feel the energy coming from it? I definitely do and there are many times I’ve walked in, didn’t say a word and walked right out because I could feel the thick tension or negative energy. Mike used to think I was so weird, but now he’s like okay whatev ha!

Same goes for peaceful, calming places like Zion. I want to stay there forever because my soul just feels so calm.

Yesterday we took a drive to see Zion right after it snowed all night. It was even more magical than ever which was hard to imagine.

We took Bam and I made sure to point out & tell him all about the beauty of it. I think he understood. šŸ˜‰ Then he suggested we finally breakdown and purchase real jackets. (I don’t own one and I feel a bit resistant to it)

It was a magical, chilly 32 degree drive that helped ease my mind & soul.

On our way home, we stopped at River Rock Coffee in La Verkin to warm up. I had a turkey sandwich on sourdough and hot chai tea. Mike had pizza and beer and we sat outside on their deck overlooking the Virgin River. I left my phone in the truck, so I didn’t take any pictures, but it was the best day we’ve had in awhile. I felt the warm sunshine on my face, we chatted with locals and it was exactly what we both needed. I had no idea how much I needed that day until we were sitting on the deck.

Today I booked a massage and facial, so I am very much looking forward to that. Have I mentioned how much I love being in an open-ish state? God Bless Utah!

Have you been to Zion? If not, is it on your list?

When was the last time you spent a day doing what makes you happy? What did you do?

When looking for a home, which is more important to you: location or the actual home?

I’m more interested in finding the right location, then the house. I’m also willing to live small in a great location.
